Hello! I'm Alanna

Hello! Thanks for dropping in.
I am mom to two high-maintenance cats, a neurotic dog, and an impossibly cool small human. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and am thus a deeply devoted SF Giants fan, lover-of-foggy days, and kind of a food snob. Now I call the PNW home and feel right at home in the rain.  I love rainbows, dim sum, baseball, cotton candy, history, and the endless magic and wonder of creative pursuits fueled by insatiable curiosity.  I truly love having the privilege of facilitating brief and whimsical escapes for any person my work reaches. I'm also an aspiring time traveler, despite the warnings Ray Bradbury gave us.

On the professional side of things, my background is in the CPG industry, including brewing (beer & hard kombucha), coffee, and cannabis, with stints in FemTech and origins in the music industry. As a freelance creative consultant I've worked with companies across industries: beauty, wellness, event production, botany, construction, contracting, and commercial insurance.

I can thank my mom and my grandpa for most of my artistic influences, as I draw heavily from the stories, characters, music, and movements they introduced me to throughout my childhood. Some key influences on my style and work are: Lewis Carroll, Roald Dahl, Victor Moscoso, Lee Conklin, Norman Rockwell, classic fairytales midcentury counterculture, Norwegian folk tales, Tolkien, Ivo Caprino, and my mom's 1976 high school yearbook, to name a few.
